Entrenamiento

Praise the Lord that I have 100% of my funds raised already!  What a confirmation this is to me that my service at Bezaleel is God's plan for me.  I will be able to leave for Guatemala on October 1, as I have been hoping to do.

Currently, I am participating in an EMM training retreat from September 10 until September 23.  I am enjoying learning to know other young people who are  going to different parts of the world to serve God.  The time to focus on God is wonderful.  I feel the need to concentrate on my relationship with God, not simply serving God with my actions but also spending time with God in prayer and scripture memorization.

A scripture that has impressed me the most lately is Philippians 4:4-9  

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

I was given this passage as my sending from the church I attended while in college.  I realize that I must strive to not be anxious about my future but focus on what God is doing now.  Instead of worrying, I will thank God for the many blessings I experience and trust Him for the future.  

That is easy to write and say but much harder to do!  I will be working to trust God more each day.
